I learned this exercise from Brooke Shaden. She does it every 3 month. She goes through her pictures picks the best and the worst. Then she analyses the pictures and asks herself why the one picture is consider as the best, the other as the worst. It helps to see strength and weakness. The result might point in a direction one wants to go.
I tried to do this exercise for the 3rd quater 2014:
I love the soft colors, the light, the simpicity. Focus is the face. The topic is a yoga pose.
My personal worst one:
It shall capture the tristesse of a grey day. Yet what I see is puddles and railways and a few legs. The motiv is not really clear. It’s more or less a snapshot.
